We had a fantastic day launching our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project at Chrisp Street Market in Tower Hamlets last week. It was wonderful to meet families from the area and spread the word about how Rose Vouchers help families afford fresh fruit and veg.
Over 100 people attended, enjoying free fruit skewers provided by Made in Hackney, art activities for the children ran by Chrisp Street Children’s Centre and Rose Voucher giveaways, which could be spent straight away on the fruit and veg of each family’s choice.
Thank you to The Childhood Trust team, Mwila and Daisy, for your support on the day, and to Natalie and her colleagues from the London Borough Tower Hamlets public health team. Brilliant to have you all there and thank you for your support in bringing this project to the borough.
We know giving families access to fruit and veg has never been more critical with the devasting impact the cost-of-living crisis is having on people’s ability to buy healthy food. We believe everyone should have access to healthy and affordable food. We will continue to support as many families as possible to achieve this vision, in Tower Hamlets, and our other project areas, as the cost-of-living crisis deepens.
