Helping families access fresh and healthy food
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project is dedicated to supporting families on low incomes, ensuring they can provide the healthiest possible start for their children. Rose Vouchers are given out to families every week, helping them to afford fresh fruit and veg from local markets.
How it works
Weekly vouchers for families
A family receives £4 of Rose Vouchers for each child every week, or £6 if the child is under one year old. Our fruit & veg vouchers can be redeemed for a wide selection of fresh fruit and veg from fantastic market traders in London, Liverpool, Barnsley, and Glasgow.
Supporting local markets
By working with the market traders, the project also benefits local markets, helping to ensure economic vibrancy by encouraging regular trade, and so maintaining local markets as vital sources of healthy, low-cost food.
Engaging with local communities
Distribution and registration
Rose Vouchers are distributed through children and family centres, as well as community organisations. These centres register families who are most in need, considering factors such as food poverty and food-related health issues.
Building healthy partnerships
We work closely with local partners to provide comprehensive support for families. Through utilising these existing local resources, the Rose Voucher project helps to provide the range of support needed to help families lead healthier lives.
