With the help of Strawberry Hill Fruiterers, we brought a vibrant fruit and veg market stall into the heart of Parliament to showcase to policymakers the transformative impact of our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg projects.
Our first parliamentary event welcomed 38 politicians, eager to learn how they can help us support more families with Rose Vouchers. We spoke to them about the challenges families face in accessing and affording fresh fruit and veg and shared how our projects help break down these barriers.
We were joined by Hassan, one of our fantastic market traders from our Hammersmith and Fulham project who runs Strawberry Hill Fruiterers at Shepherds Bush market.
Reflecting on the impact of Rose Vouchers, Hassan shared:
“Rose Vouchers don’t just help families buy fresh produce, they create a ripple effect for local businesses like mine. It’s a win for everyone – healthier families and thriving communities.”
We were delighted that so many MPs and Peers pledged their support to help us champion fruit and veg for all in parliament. They also got to take home a selection of delicious fruit and veg, accompanied by our receipt of asks to make healthy food available to all.
A special thank you to innocent drinks for their support in making this event a success. Together, we’re building a healthier future for families and communities!
